Due to this trend among millennials , careful attention and communication should be done by parents and guardians to their children. The use of this gadgets have effects on health,emotional and social aspects of a person . With gadget use ,they tend to be solitary, they play by themselves, don't talk and mingle with other people including love ones. They are unable to express how they fall. The Department of Education official theme for 2018 National Reading Month is Pagbasa : Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan. Reading has a powerful effect on our capacity to learn ,develop and grow. Many of us are aware of the positive results that come with a reading habit. But why are more people especially young students not reading more books? Probably because these people do not put value on reading and may have not not graduated from high school or college. They do not see the correlation between reading and success. Another reason that prevents reading is the busy schedule. But if we look at this students they have a lot of time to watch TV, browse social media rather than prioritizing reading which has a huge return of investments.
